iGen Stokvels
iGen is a South African Fintech Start-up company founded by Monwabisi Luthuli who has a personal experience with stokvels making him a sharp decision maker and strategist in the industry. In the 10 years of perseverance and vision resilience, iGen has seen what was dismissed as being too complex a market to be transformed, rapidly becoming exactly what they have envisaged from their inception.
It was through this inception that saw iGen partner with a Global organization FIS Global who were the initial developers of the platform as part of their Enterprise Development Initiative. Upon good course shown, iGen was able to secure another partnership with the University of Cape Town – School of Information Technology wherein their students were tasked with building additional features and test cases before appointing a private Software Development company.
iGen recently received an investment boost from the Technology Innovation Agency to commercialise the platform.
